My lost cat Maybelline is home! She was lost outside for 16 days from May 14th to the 30th. Thank you for your lost cat recovery advice, Kim!

Last night when I got her home, I checked her all over for injuries while she was cuddled up in my lap. I think I may want to try having a mobile vet come to my house to give her a checkup, though, because she's still quite anxious about being transported or handled by other people.
Thankfully your website was one of the first places I looked for help other than Pawboost and AKC reunite, the company that Maybelline was microchipped. through. Reading your lost cat kit guide helped me stay calm and not chase her further away when I spotted her nearby several times .
It took a while for Maybelline to adjust to her surroundings, but after a while she calmed down and started purring and rubbing up against me. She also has a habit of reaching up to grab my hand with both paws and give me a little love bite when she's really happy, but thankfully that doesn't break the skin. I know cats have anaerobic bacteria in their mouths, so I try not to let her do that too much, but I'm glad that she's happy to be home. My vet doesn't have any availability today, but hopefully I can get her a checkup this weekMaybelline is finally home. I’ll t post my reunion story online, because your guide definitely helped.
She’ was going to my neighbor’s house every morning for breakfast the past few days. My neighbor and I collaborated 6 months ago to catch her because she’d been feeding stray cats but had to stop because it was attracting too many animals. It’s working out better now because my neighbor has been putting out her usual breakfast as soon as she sees her and clearing the plate away when she’s done. I’m just not sure putting a trap on her porch will work again. I’m gonna try to sit in the garage for a couple of hours and watch for her to come in tonight. Open to any other suggestions. I know a motion detector could help but I want to make extra sure it’s her before closing the door.
As for lsot pet scams, now that I think about it, I do find it kinda weird that websites like Pawboost send emails saying "a featured pet spot opened up" and your lost pet profile can reach a wider audience if you pay a certain amount. Plus someone on Facebook suggested that I contact the Paw Trace Recovery Team who have thermal drone technology or something.
