Found March 12

Lost cat in California found with pet detective sleuthing.

This is one of my favorite casesBeautiful lost cat, dedicated owner and cool pet detective mystery!

Cannoli the Cat was missing 22 days in Hermosa Beach, CA. Her owner read my "How to Find a Lost Cat" book and followed the advice for standard search. No sightings. She knew it was time to get a custom consult. Turns out, she woud never have found Canolli without that decision.

In her Lost Cat Case Profile, she gave met he key background clues before we talked. Poor indoor-only cat Canolli ran out the door when a plumber was there drilling 3 weeks ago. Loud scary noise!

Since there'd been no sightings in 3 weeks, I told her what I tell everyone: if what you've been doing hasn't worked, it's time to consider those things you didn't think possible. Even the ones that sound crazy.

I gave her a list of five possibilities based on her profile details, the first being, "Call the plumber. Ask where he went right after your house."

After the ZOOM consult, Alyx told her mother I'd suggested her cat may have been accidentally transported by the plumber, she said, "There is NO WAY Cannoli would go near a vehicle."

Alyx was so dedicated to finding her missing cat, she canceled a trip to Mexico so she could follow up on my advice.

Alyx got hold of the plumber, who said, Yes when he got home that day, his dog was barking at his van. He opened the hood and, "A cat jumped out and took off!"

Alyx texted me back, so excited on her way over to the plumber's neighborhood.

Within two hours, she found little starved Cannoli and carried her home!

YAY! SO happy this sweet kitty is back home with her determined, dedicated loving owner.

Sometimes, I feel like a lost cat finder, and sometimes, especially on a long-distance case like this, I feel like a true Cat Detective ;-)

So happy for these two and so grateful for the beautiful reunion photo!

Kim Freeman,

Lost Cat Finder

AKA, "the Cat Detective"

Update August 2018

Hi Kim,

Hope you're doing well!

I'm not sure if you remember me but my indoor cat Cannoli ran away in Hermosa Beach California last year and you were able to help me find her.

Even after I found her, people were still sending me photos as there was another missing cat similar markings.

I decided to keep my posters up and a couple of days later we got a sighting called in and were able to lure her cat out from under a neighbors deck.

So you not only saved my cat, but you also helped save someone else's :)

I just want to thank you again for helping me find her.

There's no way I would've found her without your help. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!
