Lost cat in California found with pet detective sleuthing.

This is one of my favorite casesBeautiful lost cat, dedicated owner and cool pet detective mystery!

Miss Cannoli Cat was missing 22 days in Hermosa Beach, CA. Owner read my book and followed advice for standard search. No sightings. So, she sent me a full profile for a case consult. Turns out, the cat ran away when a plumber was there drilling 3 weeks ago. Loud scary noise!

Since there'd been no sightings in 3 weeks, I told her what I tell everyone: if what you've been doing hasn't worked, it's time to consider those things you didn't think possible. Even the ones that sound crazy. .

I gave her a list of five possibilities based on her profile details, the first being, "Call the plumber. Ask where he went right after your house."

(Alyx told her mother I'd suggested that and she said, "there's NO WAY Cannoli would go near a vehicle.") Yet guess who canceled her trip to Mexico to follow up on my advice?

Alyx got hold of the plumber, who said when he got home that day, his dog was barking at his van.He opened the hood and, "A cat jumped out and took off!"

Alyx texted me back, so excited on her way over to the plumbers neighborhood.

Within two hours, she found little starved Cannoli and carried her home!

YAY! SO happy this sweet kitty is back home with her determined, dedicated loving owner.

Sometimes, I feel like a lost cat finder, and sometimes, especially on a long-distance case like this, I feel like a true Cat Detective ;-)

So happy for these two and so grateful for the beautiful reunion photo!
